What B2B activities do we offer?

  • Workshops
  • Family trips
  • Webinars
  • Sales trips
  • International fairs
  • Local fairs

Workshops:

  • Norwegian Travel Workshop
  • Themed workshops
  • Local workshops in the markets

At our local workshops you will have individual meetings with relevant tour operators in the market. You will receive a market manual, where you can read about all the tour operators participating. We will send out a product manual to all participating tour operators, where they can read more about products and destinations. You will gain insight into and knowledge of the markets.

It is your responsibility to gain knowledge about the tour operators in advance of the workshop and to follow up after each meeting. You are encouraged to participate in networking activities and/or social events. After the workshop, Innovation Norway will send out evaluations to all participants. You will have access to a suitable meeting booking system. Please note that not all workshops involve pre-booked meetings. We offer all the logistical support you will need during the event.

What buyers expect from the workshops:

Relevant providers based on what is in demand in the market. New products and rewarding meetings with well-prepared providers. With concrete and concise information. That the workshop is held in a suitable, easily accessible location. That the event is well planned, with a good product manual, clear communication in advance and a well-organized meeting schedule.

Suppliers are expected to have the right products for the market, with information available and confirmed prices for the different seasons. They expect us to follow up on what has been agreed in the meetings and that we provide good facilities for networking beyond the more formal meetings.

Famtrips

Before and after the famtrip:

Innovation Norway will, with our knowledge of the market, recruit relevant product or sales managers for your destination. A draft schedule must be ready well in advance, so that this can be included with the invitation to the tour operators. Innovation Norway provides feedback on the program, so that it fits into the concept and meets the needs of the tour operators. A detailed schedule must be sent to Innovation Norway's representative no later than one (1) week before.

Innovation Norway will create a marketing manual that the Norwegian partners can use to prepare before the famtrip. We will create a registration link that all participating providers must fill out, so that a product manual can be created. We will then send the product manual to all registered buyers and an evaluation to all buyers after the famtrip. Norwegian partners must be able and willing to follow up with the tour operators after the famtrip.

During the famtrip:

The destination is responsible for the famtrip, and it is important that the destination takes on a clear hosting role. A representative from the destination should be present throughout the famtrip. A representative from Innovation Norway can also be present throughout the famtrip to act as a liaison between providers and tour operators, in order to facilitate the best possible interaction.

Webinars:

Webinars give you an opportunity to showcase your destination and/or products to tour operators. Together we will find a suitable platform for the webinar. All webinars should be around specific, defined topics.

The Norwegian partner is responsible for the content, but Innovation Norway has the final say on what is relevant for the specific market. IN provides relevant tour operators and/or travel agencies in the market. The destination provides a product manual that can be sent out together with the invitation. The tour operators can then follow up after the webinar.

Sales tours:

Innovation Norway in the respective markets offer sales tours only when they have the opportunity, since such sales tours require large resources and therefore must have a strong justification.

This is relevant for Norwegian partners who are already active in the market and know which customers they want to reach. The goal may be to get new products into the tour operators' portfolios, or to strengthen sales.

Innovation Norway plans the tour and will also participate in it. The Norwegian partner is expected to get to know the tour operators in advance of meetings and tailor the presentations to the different tour operators' knowledge and needs.

International & local fairs

When participating in fairs, Innovation Norway sets up a joint stand to reach as many as possible. At international fairs, there are buyers from all over the world, while at local fairs only buyers from that country come.

Norwegian partners are expected to be at the stand during the entire opening hours, throughout the entire fair. It is Innovation Norway's responsibility to ensure that all participants comply with fair and stand rules. Only representatives of partners who have registered with Innovation Norway are allowed on the stand. Norwegian partners are responsible for booking their own meetings, and it is important to start early. IN invites relevant local contacts to visit the Norwegian stand.

Innovation Norway welcomes customers to the stand. Norwegian partners provide logos that can be used for signs (no banners), and IN brands the stand according to the guidelines. Trade fairs often include additional activities, such as seminars or mingling events. Norwegian partners book their own travel and accommodation.
