What is B2B?

Our goal with Innovation Norway's B2B work is to market Norway as a travel destination to tour operators, incoming operators and travel agencies.

How we work

We are actively working to ensure that tour operators, incoming operators and travel agencies:

  • Include trips to Norway in their programs
  • Increase the number of products they sell through their programs
  • Increase sales of trips to Norway through their channels

Incoming operators

  • Tour operator that can create and sell packages throughout Norway
  • Customers are mainly tour operators and travel agencies
  • Some of these also work towards the end customer
  • Can work towards several markets
  • Mainly sells Norway as a destination = “Norway experts”
  • Suppliers: Norwegian tourism companies

Tour operators

  • Foreign company
  • Customers are: travel agencies and end customers
  • Usually works towards the market they are located in
  • Sells Norway as well as other destinations.
  • Suppliers: Norwegian tourism companies and/or incoming operators

Travel agencies

  • Customers are the end customers or companies
  • Usually works towards the market they are located in
  • Sells Norway as well as many other destinations
  • Suppliers: incoming operators and tour operators

Advantages of working B2B

You gain a big sales force that's out selling your company to its customers/consumer - without needing to be present in the market and without necessarily needing to know the local culture and many different languages

You can reach different customer groups/segments according to which operator you are working with

You gain valuable market knowledge about guest/customer expectations

How do you find customers?

Workshops

Innovation Norway arranges all workshops where you can have sales meetings with customers. These can be both local in the markets or international, such as NTW.

Other players such as Nordic Collective or ECT also arrange workshops where the Norwegian tourism industry can participate.

B2B fairs

Local fairs are arranged in the markets or international B2B fairs, such as ITB Berlin and WTM London. Innovation Norway usually participates in the local fairs in the markets in which we are represented. This is decided annually, and in that case we will be able to offer participation at the stand.

Viewing tours, sales trips are also good arenas to use.
